Over the weekend…

Last weekend, I finally found the courage to try out something different with sheepygirl. Not exactly different in the kind of activities we usually engage in but…certainly in a different setting. Over the months, we have had our share of weekend stay-out in Amara shenton and in sentosa, changi village and pan pacific. But last Saturday, we gathered courage to try out the ‘budget’ range…but I still hesitate to mention the name haha. But it was initially a jittery experience for me having to face the front counter and being blur as usual. But, the initial phase was quick and over in a few minutes. I went to the car, got sheepygirl out and both giggled profusely till we got into our temporary crib. That few hours spent together was well worth the initial awkwardness that we had to face and I hope she enjoyed the ‘rush’ as much as I did. Following that, was a rather sick Sunday for me…down with a flu bug and trying to catch as much sleep as I could.

All in one weekend…

The last weekend was indeed a eventful one for both of us. I certainly enjoyed every single bit of it haha, despite all the unexpected incidents.

First off, we managed to kill off hours of waiting in Sim Lim for sheepygirl’s lappy to be repaired and despite the waiting, we still had to come back another time for it. Thank god we have got each other’s company the whole time.

Following that, we headed for changi since our usual getaway ’sanctuary’ in sentosa is charging exhorbitant prices for a night’s stay. Well, our first time in changi village hotel turned out quite different but still enjoyable. The overhanging lamp…hmm…is out of place and my advice is, don’t sit below it. Then the bathtub… well…well…i should say its really really small even for 2 really petite-size person. And we can’t stop water from flowing out from the side of the tub onto the toilet floor…the management should really do something about it. That could have cause my baby a bump on her bums when she slipped and fell just outside the toilet floor. Well…ok…it will give me more reason to rub the left side of her butt more often now to ease the sore…XD.

Our dinner turned out pretty well actually despite not having expensive food in a restaurant with nice ambience. Sheepygirl suggested we ‘taopao’ back to our room and feast there. So we bought the delicacies of Changi Village hawker centre, which definitely included the famous nasi lemak.

It all started with a simple hug and what followed that is something that will stay in my heart for all time. Since then, I woke up every morning thinking of you, drive to work with you in my mind and recalling your smiles whenever work tries to overwhelm me. In 2007, you have allowed me into your heart and showered tons of love, laughter and happiness from just being yourself. I hope 2008 will be a even better year for you, no matter what you wished for…I hope it will come true.

I really didn’t expect both of us to end up getting a gift for each other from exactly the same shop. I walked around that very morning one day before Christmas Eve looking ernestly for a gift for sheepygirl. Somehow, some unexplained divine force attracted me back to Tiffany. It was kind of funny that morning as there were only 2 male customers in the shop, including me…guess many can’t help but do last minute shopping for their loved ones. After browsing for sometime, I finally decided to get her a pair of nice earrings…hope it is nice haha.

That Monday morning, we decided to exchange gifts before fetching her to work. When she handed me the paperbag containing my gift, I was actually a little shocked to see the signature blue paper bag and the little blue box with a ribbon on it. I was speechless for a moment…and never expected sheepygirl to get me a gift from there as well…XD. When I saw my keyring, I was certainly delightly and couldn’t wait to slot my car key into it.

Finally got sheepygirl her birthday gift and I can’t wait to put this on her. I’m sure it would look absolutely lovely on her. A little preview before she gets the real thing.

It has been quite a while since I last wrote…not sure why too but sheepygirl has been updating regularly. Finally we caught Golden Compass in a GV cinema with fold-away seats, that makes its much much easier and comfortable to cuddle up. We managed for the first time ever to be the first to enter the cinema…kinda weird feeling and of course…I was almost finishing up my nachos and sheepygirl was half way through her popcorn even before the movie started. Quite disappointing at first due to the faulty sound system which distorted the initial segments of the movie but luckily the problem didn’t persist – it would have destroyed part of the plot.

I guess my mind now is rather focussed and looking forward to our trip next week – Koh Samui. Everything has been planned out and I am just keeping my fingers crossed that the weather would be good and nothing unexpected would happen. These days, I do lapse occasionally into my day-dreaming state…imagining the days and nights we are going to be spending with each other, away from work, from the crowds and the city life. I really hope Sheepygirl will be able to enjoy this birthday of hers even though she is miles away from home. Better start exercising my neck though XD!

Edited: Kissyboy forgot to mention that he already polished off a hotdog bun before starting on the nachos. Ha.

A nice weekend coming up…

Last night at the reservoir was the perfect setting for recollection of the days and evenings spent together. It’s always nice to stand on the wooden bridge facing the water, leaning on her and just spend quality time talking, hugging and stealing a few kisses here and there. There was however a moment of oddness and I didn’t know what prompted me to reveal my insecurities to her, even though I know it was unfounded. Well…the weekend is coming and our sanctuary…here we come. Looks like a nice weekend coming up for some of us. Congrats to my pal, his second son arrived safely into our world this morning…going to get him some booze when the guys gather to visit later.

It has been quite awhile since i wrote my last entry. Work has been tough but regardless of the demands of it, I still managed to get through every single day and night with her by my side. Always there to support me when I feel lousy, helping me out with the graphics editing, listening to me when i grumble and complain, and touching me…holding me by the back of my neck during a long drive home. That’s the power of love in a simple girl’s hands…petite but effects are immense on one who loves her tenderly. It’s those fragile looking hands that warm me up in the middle of a movie in the freezing cinema; that hold me and guide me to the correct direction when I’m lost; that caress me all over in the water sodden with lavender. Sometimes in the midst of an atypical day, I just drift away dreaming…thinking…looking forward to our retreat to our sanctuary again.

Barely the start of a new week and I miss…sheepygirl sitting on my lap and hugging me…miss playing golf…miss doing absolute nothing and just stoning away. All these the fault of the tons of work pushing down on me and the associated stress. When will I get to cool down and get away from all these nonsense…I really need to get away from it bad. At least it was a fruitful weekend just a few days ago…back to our lovely sanctuary for the 2nd time in 2 weeks and getting all the warmth and love from her. I really wished time to come to a standstill…the weekend would never end. I know sheepygirl would be able to lay in bed and not move an inch out of unless its to shower and wash her hair. Oh oh and I love those white mini shorts…drive me nuts..XD
